Wieland Electroplating Masking Pen

Apply a red protective coating to the areas of the piece that should not be plated. After application, allow it to dry for 3 to 5 minutes.

The protected areas remain isolated, preventing metal deposition during the electroplating process.

Suitable for use in acidic electroplating baths and silver patina treatments.

Instructions for Use

Work at room temperature.

1. Carry out electrolytic degreasing of the piece.

2. Without touching the piece directly with your hands, rinse with distilled water and dry.

3. Apply the protective lacquer to the areas that should not be plated and allow it to dry for 3–6 minutes.

4. Carry out the desired treatment: electroplating, metal plating or patina application.

5. Rinse under running water and dry.

6. Remove the protective lacquer using a suitable solvent.

Important: Replace the pen cap immediately after each use to prevent the lacquer from drying out.
