Legor T-PRO Metal Passivation Bath 5 Litres

Protective passivation bath for silver and other metals. T-Pro is a water-based, solvent-free product developed for the passivation of items made from precious metals.

The protective layer forms through a chemical reaction and is extremely thin and virtually imperceptible, without affecting the feel or finish of the pieces. It helps reduce oxidation and the effects of external agents, preserving the original shine and preventing tarnishing.

It can also be applied to electroplated or gold-plated items, including pieces previously treated with a patina.

Operating Procedure

1. Carry out an initial ultrasonic cleaning.

2. Rinse under running water.

3. Perform acid activation (composition: 999 ml distilled water + 1 ml nitric acid).

4. Rinse under running water.

5. Immerse the piece in the PS solution for 5 minutes at 55 °C, applying gentle agitation.

6. Rinse under running water, preferably with warm water.

7. Perform a final rinse under running water.

8. Dry using standard methods.

Important: At low temperatures, some sediment may form at the bottom of the container. If this occurs, it is recommended to warm the container in a water bath and shake thoroughly before use.
