Technoflux 3N Yellow Gold Plating Bath Cyanide-Free – 1 Litre

The Technoflux 3N Cyanide-Free Yellow Gold Plating Bath is part of Technoflux's innovative range of environmentally conscious products developed for the goldsmithing, jewellery, costume jewellery, optical and watchmaking industries, as well as other professional applications.

It deposits a uniform, bright gold coating onto the pieces being treated, providing a high-quality decorative finish.

Specifically developed for decorative applications, this fast-deposition (flash) plating bath produces uniform coatings up to 0.2 microns thick.

The resulting brightness is comparable to traditional cyanide-based plating baths, while also delivering excellent results on matt finishes, with more intense colour tones.

Like the other products in Technoflux's environmentally conscious range, this solution is completely cyanide-free, providing an alternative to conventional electroplating baths containing cyanide.

• Coating thickness: up to 0.2 microns.

• Operating voltage: 2–2.5 V, depending on the size of the piece.

• Operating temperature: 40–50 °C.

• Plating time: 15–30 seconds.

• Anode-to-cathode ratio: 1:1.

• Anode type: V2 stainless steel.

• Agitation: moderate.

• Bath capacity: until the gold content in the solution (0.8 g) is depleted.

Instructions for Use

1. Pour the contents of the bottle into the designated electroplating container.

2. Securely suspend the piece to be gold-plated using copper wire.

3. Clean the piece using an ultrasonic cleaner and rinse thoroughly under running water.

Important: Do not touch the piece directly with your hands after cleaning.

4. Connect the equipment's clip to the copper wire supporting the piece.

5. Immerse the piece in container No. 1, equipped with a stainless steel anode and electrolytic degreasing solution, for 30–45 seconds at a voltage of 4–5 V.

6. Rinse under running water.

7. Rinse using Legor NEUT-SA Neutraliser (ref. BAN076), prepared at a concentration of 50 g per litre.

8. Rinse with distilled water in container No. 2.

9. Immerse the piece in the 3N yellow gold plating bath, in container No. 4, for 15–30 seconds.

10. Rinse with distilled water in container No. 5.

11. Dry using standard methods.
