Legor GT4A2N Gold Plating Bath 1 Litre/4g

Technoflux gold plating bath deposits a uniform, bright layer of gold onto the treated pieces.

Developed for decorative applications, this bath allows a coating thickness of up to 6 microns to be achieved through a relatively quick plating process. The solution contains no nickel, lead or cadmium.

The resulting colour matches that of pure gold, as no other alloying metals are used.

Specifications

• Coating thickness: up to 6 microns.

• Voltage: 2.5 to 3.5 V, depending on the size of the piece.

• Operating temperature: 55 to 60 °C.

• Immersion time: from 3.5 minutes.

• Deposition rate: 1 micron in 3.5 minutes at 2 A/dm².

• Anode/cathode ratio: 1:1.

• Anode type: platinum-coated titanium.

• Agitation: moderate.

• Bath lifespan: until the gold content of the solution (4 g) is depleted.

Instructions for use

1. Pour the contents of the container into the designated plating tank.

2. Securely attach the piece to be gold-plated using copper wire. Clean it using an ultrasonic cleaner or soap and water, then rinse thoroughly under running water. Do not touch the piece directly with your hands after cleaning.

3. Connect the equipment clamp to the wire holding the piece and immerse it in the first tank, containing the stainless steel anode and electrolytic degreasing solution, applying 4 to 6 V for 30 to 45 seconds.

4. Rinse under running water.

5. Rinse with distilled water in the second tank.

6. Immerse the piece in the gold plating bath for at least 3.5 minutes.

Important: Post-treatment is required to ensure the removal of chemical residues from the plating bath.

Post-treatment

1. Rinse with demineralised water.

2. Rinse under hot running water.

3. Rinse again with demineralised water.

4. Dry using standard methods.
